If Labor holds power Federally as well as in all the States and Territories...
Labor would say that this is a good thing because it will enable consensus on shared matters like health and education across all jurisdictions.
But I would say that it is a bad thing, because it will enable consensus on lifting the GST from 10%.
Remember, to lift the GST there has to be agreement across Federal and State/Territory. Everyone agreeing.
Every Labor government agreeing to make more money? What is the likelihood of that?
I would say veryu likely - after all, those books for foetuses are not going to publish themselves, and those welfare payments to the out-of-work plastic bag manufacturers have to come from somewhere.
This Labor cannot manage its budget. Latham is leader and he is all big public works and huge spending. Cream is treasurer and he does not know the difference between $800m and zero.
Puhlease.
I do not understand why economics writers do not write more about this.
....O, Maybe they do. I do not really read ecomonic writers much to tell the truth.
Whatever.
